Among the institutions currently setting the pace is the Acharya Institute of Technology. The institute has firmly established itself as a powerhouse in the local scene, with its Girls Baseball Team emerging as champions and the Boys Team securing a runner-up finish in the Bangalore Baseball League. This success reflects the broader intensity of the city's sports culture, where institutions are increasingly prioritizing field performance and inter-collegiate rivalry.

Gokul of New Horizon College, who recently secured a gold medal in wrestling at the Bangalore University inter-collegiate tournament held at RC College. Bengaluru City University is currently overseeing a major redevelopment project at the historic Central College ground. The Karnataka Examination Authority has recently approved revised sports quota rules that will take effect next year. These changes mandate consistent sports participation for students between Class 10 and Class 12 and introduce a structured grading system based on state, national, and international competition levels for CET admissions.
