Peripheral Ring Road Status
The Peripheral Ring Road project moves forward with those two packages under active bid review, following the earlier approval. This step determines contractor selection and sets the pace for construction start on the outer ring sections.
Underground Tunnel Next Phase
The Karnataka Cabinet has approved the ₹12,690 crore underground double-decker tunnel spanning 18.5 km from Esteem Mall near Hebbal to Silk Board Junction. A Detailed Project Report is expected by September 2026 before any tendering process begins, making the report completion the immediate decision point for this route.
Road White-Topping Rollout
Over the next three years more than 450 km of roads across Bengaluru will be white-topped at an estimated cost of ₹3,000 crore. This work complements the 157 km already under the Brand Bengaluru initiative and requires coordination on sequencing and funding allocation in the coming months.
Metro and Rail Project Progress
Namma Metro Phase 3 and the 149 km Bengaluru Suburban Rail Project continue to advance, with the BSRP currently at 22% completion and the Blue Line to Kempegowda International Airport showing 52.5% civil work progress. Elevated Corridors Planning
